Gucci

Chevy Chase, MD

Davis Buckley Architects and Planners (DBA) was engaged by Gucci to bring a “fresh look” to the design of their United States stores.   Working closely with the Gucci family members and their key designers, DBA helped develop a design brief that called for understated, yet elegant design and carried out these ideals when designing the Gucci store in Chevy Chase, Maryland.

In order to maximize display space in a long rectangular store, a series of triangular panels are utilized to create intimate niches.  Dressing rooms and storage were placed within these triangular display walls.  State of the art lighting and mechanical systems, including incandescent lighting, are used to uniquely display Gucci products, and the extensive use of high quality detailed mahogany and brass in the display cases create an exquisite shopping experience.
