lockkeeper's house recognized for best renovation/restoration

Exciting news - The historic Lockkeeper's House, was recognized for the Best Renovation/Restoration in Engineering News-Record Mid-Atlantic 2018 Best Projects!

As the Preservation Architect for the Lockkeeper's House project, Davis Buckley Architects and Planners worked with the Trust for the National Mall on the relocation and adaptive reuse of the House, part of the Phase I Rehabilitation of Constitution Gardens, designed by PWP Landscape Architecture. Once vacant and deteriorated, the House has been restored and re-purposed as an interpretive space for the historic C&O Canal and National Mall history. The Lockkeeper's House is again a welcoming sentinel to the visitors of our Nation's Capital and Constitution Gardens.
